Voter suppression has long plagued the U.S. election system. Today, underrepresented communities continue the fight for equal access to the ballot. Join this virtual training to learn how your community can combat voter suppression across the country by participating in the Center for Common Ground’s nonpartisan Reclaim Our Vote Campaign. This training will provide actions you and your community can take to ensure voters of all backgrounds are registered and equipped to cast their vote. We’ll also share examples of how Jewish communities have had greater impact when partnering across lines of difference.
This is one in a series of virtual trainings focused on tactics for implementing your Jewish community’s civic engagement strategy as part of the Reform Movement’s 2020 Civic Engagement Campaign. To realize our goal of building a more just and compassionate world, the 2020 Civic Engagement Campaign will empower and encourage all U.S. citizens to exercise their right to vote. This campaign will also ensure that Reform Jewish values – including the right to vote – are present in the public square during this urgent time in our nation’s history.
